Craigie Street Bistrot
It can be said that we now have a new favorite restaurant. Craigie Street Bistrot. The entry (mine) was divinely heavenly parsnip soup with small shrimp (are there any other kind?), bacon, other delivious stuff--but, overall, unlike anything parsnippy before! And Cynthia's egg thingy was not only unusual, but good. Then came the chicken. And this writer does not like white meat (on a chicken). But this was as good as anything to ever have passed the lips of the writer of these words. And that chocolate at the end, for desert, both sweet and bitter at the same time, with the bitter fading into the distance. As these words are being written the sound of Cassady enjoying her marrow bones can be heard coming from the kitchen. And the wine, Cynthia's, especially, was some of the best ever. And that sweet thing at the end, just right for me. And the champaigne was so good I got a headache just moments after drinking it. Ok, we walked from our place to there and back. It took us 45-50 minutes each way. The walk there made us hungry and the walk back made us feel less guilty for indulging. And somebody remind me to tell them they have misspeeled bistro.
